Karen is a proud life member of the Lara Chamber of Commerce and has previously held positions of Treasurer and Vice President on committee. She is also a life member of the Lara Sporting Club and Founder and President of the Friends of Kevin Hoffman Walk.
Karen is owner and principal practitioner of Lara Physiotherapy Health Network. Lara Physio was established over 25 years ago and now has a thriving team of Physios, Myotherapists and Exercise physiologists keeping the Lara Community active and healthy at all ages and fitness.
Karen is excited to see the Lara Chamber develop and grow reflecting the region's business and residential expansion. Key areas for the future are tourism, incorporating small business and industry alike into our semi rural township whilst ensuring the community as a whole remains a safe and thriving place to live.

Jenna Kerr is a proud Lara local, having called Lara home for her whole life. Whilst Lara continues to grow Jenna loves that Lara still has the community feeling and small-town charm. Jenna enjoys all that Lara has to offer, from the You Yangs Regional park to Kevin Hoffman Walk you will see her out each night with her dog Charlie enjoying the surrounds of the town.
Jenna is currently working at Ray White Lara as an Executive Property Manager, a role that she absolutely loves. Every day is different and every client has a story and Jenna enjoys that her passion for real estate and her love of working in Lara and the Northern Suburbs combines into a rewarding job.
Jenna has joined LCCI as the secretary in 2019 and hopes to utilise her organisation and social skills to help the committee support local business and put Lara on the map for tourism in the area.

Jodie Howell has grown up in Lara and is from a family that has been here for many generations. In 2012, Jodie established her business and is passionate about our community, small local business and employing local staff.
Jodie became a Committee member for 3 years from 2014-2017 in various roles such as Vice President, Events Co coordinator and looking after new members.
After a year off, Jodie is back on board and is excited about the future of LCC and encourages Lara business to become a member.
LCC offers it’s members-the opportunity to connect with other local business with bi/monthly events with guest speakers keeping you up to date.
Jodie is usually out and about in Lara somewhere so feel free to ask her and questions regarding LCC she is happy to discuss.

Nicole Makin-Doherty - vice president
Nicole Makin-Doherty grew up in Lara. After starting her own Community Services Organisation and establishing herself in Metro Melb, Nicole knew she wanted to move back to Lara once she had children, to establish her company throughout the Geelong region.
Having set up office in Lara, Nicole’s company Wyngate Care now provides in home support to people with disabilities, the elderly, people with mental health issues, drug & alcohol issues, youth & family services, and general counselling. Since being back in the region, Nicole has opened 2 more companies, D&M Connect; providing vocational training and Empowered Liveability; building houses for people with disabilities to live independently. Nicole first joined Chamber in 2016, and jumped on committee almost straight away to help however she could, and was made Vice President in October 2017. Nicole aims to connect the business community with local community services by providing support to local not for profits & charities and establishing new programs within our region

Phil has been a resident of Geelong since 1989 spending a lot of that time living in Lara.
He is a numbers man and has been an accountant since 2000, establishing his own business in 2013.
Phil is a proud chamber member since 2013 and joined to connect with other local business people. He recently joined the committee as treasurer, the vibrancy of the LCCI and its members made it a very easy decision to accept the nomination.
